1. Use of the Platform
InterviewU is a mock-interview practice tool for educational institutions. Access is granted to professors and other staff for the purpose of setting up practice assignments for their students, and to students for the purpose of completing those assignments. You agree to use the platform only for lawful educational purposes and not to misuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt any part of the service.
Professors are responsible for the accuracy of any class details and custom questions they create, and for ensuring their use of InterviewU complies with their institution’s policies.
2. Student Data
When a student completes a practice assignment, their school email, spoken responses, transcriptions, and AI-generated coaching scores are stored and made available to the professor for that class. This data is used solely to facilitate the assignment and gradebook export.
Professors agree not to use student data for any purpose other than evaluating completion and performance of the assigned practice interview. Student data is retained for the duration of the institution’s subscription and may be deleted upon account closure. We do not sell student data to third parties.
3. Student Emails
InterviewU sends automated emails to students — including a one-time verification code and a completion confirmation. These emails are sent from InterviewU infrastructure using the school email address the student provides.
Completion emails include a brief, optional reference to InterviewAce, an AI interview preparation tool students may use to continue practicing. This reference is informational and is not an endorsement by the institution. By using InterviewU, professors and students acknowledge and accept this.
4. No Guarantee of Outcomes
InterviewU provides AI-generated coaching feedback and scores as a practice aid. These scores are generated by a language model and are intended to help students improve — not to serve as a formal evaluation of a student’s abilities.
We make no guarantee that using InterviewU will result in improved interview performance, job offers, or any specific outcome. AI scoring is imperfect and should be considered alongside a professor’s own judgment when assigning credit or a grade.
5. Limitation of Liability
InterviewU is a practice tool, not a grading authority. All grading and academic decisions are made by the institution and its instructors, who bear sole responsibility for those decisions. InterviewU is not liable for any claim arising from a grading or academic decision.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InterviewU’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount the institution paid in the 30 days preceding the claim.
6. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify the institution by email or via an in-app notice. Continued use of InterviewU after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
